For our Global Innovation Unit at Munich Re, we are looking for an open-minded, curious and engaged intern to support us in identifying and developing ideas to shape the future. We continuously build promising products and solutions to meet new demands, leverage opportunities of upcoming technologies and actively shape emerging markets and industries. Our innovation playing fields include, among others, climate and energy, cyber risks, insurtech, mobility and IoT. To unearth new trends and find the right interdisciplinary partners for our innovation journey, we operate innovation labs around the globe and work together with our Innovation Scouts in the Silicon Valley and Tel Aviv.
If you want to experience innovation in the making, join our team as an intern (5-6 months) to cut business diamonds out of rough ideas. We also have a number of part-time positions for motivated students who are keen to continue working for us after a full-time internship and pursue their studies at the same time.
Your job
- Collaborate in the conception, validation and implementation of an AI innovation project
- Accompany the process from concept to venture building
- Support the business model validation and help to build a first MVP
- Drive market analysis of cutting edge AI providers and develop competitor analysis
- Learn about the future trends in the application of AI in insurance and beyond
- Get hands-on experience in a small project team with high responsibility for your own tasks
- Advocate new trends in terms of technology, methodology and strategy
- Assist in the preparation of pitches for potential customers, partners and internal stakeholders
Your profile
- Entrepreneurial mindset and keen to take responsibility for own sub-projects/ tasks
- Current master’s student with an above-average bachelor’s degree and high interested in innovation, entrepreneurship and AI
- Practical experience with start-ups, corporate innovation, consulting or IT
- Understanding of innovation management methodologies and the development of digital business models
- High affinity with technical topics, ideally with data analytics or coding skills
- Creativity, openness, communication skills and eagerness to join an international and interdisciplinary team
- Fluency in spoken and written English, sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
