Environment and Climate Change Manager (f/m/d).

In this role you will be part of a dedicated international team of 9 people. Your primary responsibilities will include further developing our group wide climate strategy and providing support to the group companies in achieving targets, working alongside a colleague. Additionally, you will actively collaborate on various project initiatives and report directly to the Head of Group Compliance and Responsible Business Program.

• Develop strategy: Further develop NKG's group climate strategy in strict accordance with science-based targets (SBT).
• Set targets: Translate the climate strategy's requirements into measurable targets that all group companies can work towards.
• Manage projects: Identify critical priorities within the climate strategy and lead the initiation of projects aimed at achieving these targets in collaboration with group companies.
• Track progress: Take charge of closely monitoring progress on climate-related targets, conducting regular assessments, and making timely adjustments when necessary to ensure the targets are met.
• Support companies: Collaborate with all group companies and provide support/training, and share best practices to foster a culture of sustainability across the organization.
• Communicate internally: Establish concise and transparent lines of communication with the board and other internal stakeholders, providing regular updates on the status of climate initiatives and strategy.

• Education: A university degree in environmental management, environmental engineering, business administration, or similar is the basis.
• Background: You bring relevant professional experience in the implementation of science-based targets, the development and execution of climate strategies, and experience in carbon accounting according to the GHG protocol (Scope 1, 2, 3). Your expertise includes knowledge of how to effectively communicate intricate concepts to diverse audiences, along with robust project management skills, preferably in the realm of climate strategy and carbon accounting. You exhibit initiative and enthusiasm for assuming responsibility.
• Personality: Your work style is analytical, driven by solutions, and with a service focus. You demonstrate empathy and an openness to collaboration in a multicultural environment. Moreover, you possess an affinity for working with numbers, and for analyzing, structuring, and presenting complex datasets.
• Internationality: You demonstrate good intercultural skills and a strong command of English; Spanish, Portuguese or German is a plus.
• MS Office: You are familiar with the MS Office package, especially with Excel.
