European Molecular Biology Laboratory
We are Europe’s flagship research laboratory for the life sciences – an intergovernmental organisation performing scientific research in disciplines including molecular biology, physics, chemistry and computer science. We are an international, innovative and interdisciplinary laboratory with approx. 2 000 employees from many nations, operating across six sites, in Heidelberg, Barcelona, Hinxton near Cambridge, Hamburg, Grenoble and Rome. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, highly motivated Public Engagement Officer to join the Science Education and Public Engagement (SEPE) Team at the EMBL in Heidelberg, Germany. SEPE’s mission is to lead EMBL’s external engagement programme showcasing the scientific work at EMBL. SEPE is part of EMBL's International Centre for Advanced Training (EICAT).
Your role
You will develop and deliver a programme of engagement activities that supports EMBL´s scientific programme across the organization, with a special focus on the World of Molecular Biology (WMB) visitor program. You will collaborate with other staff members to ensure that engagement is integrated within EMBL´s research, education, training, and knowledge exchange activities. Reporting to the Head of SEPE, you will be an integral part of the SEPE team.
