ABOUT THIS POSITION
We are looking for a talented and experienced channel marketer to join and lead our German and Mid-Europe marketing team, which forms part of our EMEA marketing team and works in close partnership with our German, Swiss and BeFraLux distribution teams. This role has three direct reports; two based in Frankfurt and one in Zurich and our preference is for this role to be based in region and ideally in Frankfurt.
Our EMEA marketing team consists of channel teams that are closely aligned to our regional distribution teams, a as well as teams with specific expertise in Events, Studio Design and Digital Marketing. We work closely with partner teams in PR, Insight & Product Marketing, Market Research, Investment Writing and Digital.
The successful candidate will help us build on the asset growth and increased brand awareness T. Rowe Price has experienced in Germany over the past few years. We would also expect this leader to fulfil an important role in setting the overall EMEA marketing strategy as part of the EMEA Marketing Leadership team, particularly through representing the needs of channel marketing, as well as representing the region on various global projects.
The team’s remit covers both the institutional and intermediary segments and we are therefore looking for candidates with deep knowledge of both these segments in Germany as well as financial markets and investment strategies generally. This person will provide leadership and guidance to a talented team of marketers who are looking to build their knowledge and experience to grow their careers further within T. Rowe Price. Given the size of the team and associated workload, we expect the role-holder to operate in a player-manager capacity.
This role interacts with a wide range of senior stakeholders across multiple functions, meaning the ability to manage, influence and provide challenge to senior stakeholders is important. This role will form part of the EMEA Marketing Leadership and Mid-Europe Distribution leadership teams and will be expected to be an important active contributor to both.
Given the importance of ESG and Impact Investing to both ourselves and our client base, we are looking for a deep understanding of ESG and how that is likely to evolve from a market, product and client perspective.
Whilst this is very much a generalist role, we are looking for particular expertise in both product marketing and the evolution of digital marketing in asset management. To be successful in the German market we will need to deliver product marketing collateral and investment insights that are very specific to the German market. We expect the successful candidate to effectively utilise data to devise and implement marketing strategy and enable distribution to better build existing relationships, to cross sell or identify new opportunities. This expertise should also translate into an ability to devise and implement commercially-minded campaigns across the full marketing mix.
