As a Principal Field Application Engineer at Infineon, you will mainly support our customers during the evaluation and development of their systems. In your new role you will:
- Be the first level technical contact for our key automotive customers in Europe , with a focus on Microcontroller Hard & Software in key automotive applications
- Work proactively on optimized MCU Solutions for our customer’s applications together with the entire European FAE Team , the Account Managers, the product experts and the different business lines
- Manage projects together actively with the EMEA FAE / Sales Team to achieve joint design-win goals
- Discuss innovative Microcontroller Solution and application approaches with the customer development teams and collaborate with our development department and concept engineering teams to drive optimized and new products and technologies
- Validate the application on-site together with the customer
- Prepare and execute customer presentations and product / application trainings
- Travel in Germany and Europe

You are best equipped for this task if you have:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Information Technology or similar fields
- At least 6 years of professional experience as an (Field) Application Engineer or Design Engineer in the area of Microcontroller
- Specific knowledge in Microcontrollers and its peripherals /interfaces ideally in automotive applications
- Experience with Automotive SW (MCAL, AUTOSAR), simulation tools and C/C++ in embedded applications
- Experience with ECU layouts and PCB designs is an advantage
- Strong drive, pro-active and autonomous behavior
- Analytical capabilities and very complex situation solving
- Fluent English and German communication skills
