The Tesla Intralogistics team is looking for a Material Flow Systems Engineer that will be responsible for implementing, configuring and maintaining material flow processes in Tesla’s Material Flow System to improve efficiency of delivery of material to the production line.
As an Material Flow Systems Engineer, you develop a deep understanding of Tesla’s internal Material Flow System to enable and support all physical material flows from systems perspective. The purpose of your role is to set up, re-configure and continuously improve configurations and data flows in order to ensure the right parts, at the right time, in the right quantity and the right place. Work closely with Material Flow Engineers, Material Handling Operations, Process Engineers, Project Managers and Business leaders to identify and implement business requirements and create the best material flow system in the world. Therefore, continuously analyze, cross-check and verify material flow systems data on a day-to-day-basis. Creating dashboards, KPI reports and giving recommendations for improvements in the physical as well as the systems world are also scope of your role. A wide degree of self-motivation and cross-functional work is expected. Success and accomplishment drive you and you are known for your data-oriented thinking and ability to vigilantly view a situation from all perspectives.
- 1-3 years working in manufacturing environment (esp. Intralogistics, Material Flow Engineering) and in manufacturing Data Analytics
- Experience in writing queries in SQL
- Proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Knowledge of ERP software for material planning and supply such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics.
- Highly proficient in Excel or like spreadsheet tools, experience with advanced formulas and functions (Lookups, Pivot tables, Macros)
- Open, proactive and collaborative style: ability to work both in a team environment and autonomously with minimal supervision or direction
- Must be able to understand complex information and communicate the information to people with diverse professional backgrounds
- High proficiency and expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular PowerPoint and SharePoint are required
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills with ability to successfully deliver and communicate complex technical training
- Fluency in English and advanced knowledge of German
