THE POSITION Boehringer Ingelheim (BI) is expanding its Systems Pharmacology team in the global Translational Medicine & Clinical Pharmacology Data Science (TMCP DS) group in Biberach and Ingelheim, Germany.
The mandate of TMCP DS is to maximize knowledge generation from TMCP data to enhance disease understanding through integrative and holistic data analyses. By this means, we collaborate with our neighboring functions in critical decision making along planning and execution of our clinical development programs.
As a member of the Clinical Bioinformatics and Systems Pharmacology team, you drive all phases of planning, implementation, and application of Systems Pharmacology approaches. You act as a leading contributor to our drug development teams, engaging with stakeholders and interacting in a highly interdisciplinary environment with colleagues from bioinformatics, pharmacometrics, biomarkers, clinical pharmacology, as well as medicine and research.
As Systems Pharmacology Expert you apply state-of-the-art modelling and simulation to inform assets development in our therapeutic areas. You lead the implementation of systems pharmacology models and advanced data analyses to study efficacy and safety of drugs, to develop a deeper understanding of disease mechanisms and to support biomarker selection and characterization.
In addition, acting as a Data Science Lead (DSL) you represent our various Data Science functions in project team meetings. In your role as a DSL you will have the chance to shape the data science strategy of drug development projects starting prior to first-in-man trials up to regulatory submission and beyond.
