Summary

About the Position:
This position is located in Wiesbaden, Germany. The Program Assistant (Student Transportation) provides technical support for bus passenger transportation services to students at military community schools.

Federal employees in Wiesbaden, Germany may be entitled to receive a 30% Post Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary.

Responsibilities

Compile student statistical data and participates in forecasting transportation requirements.
Record data on forms to evaluate the quality of transportation services provided.
Conduct day-to-day operations for designated schools to provide timely and efficient transportation service.
Arrange nonrecurring transportation services supporting curricular field trips, co-curricular sports, and academic enrichment activities.
Perform periodic route safety and efficiency reviews, optimizes routes, and recommends commuting area changes.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes analyzing data of transportation requirements; utilizing automated systems in support of program requirements; and recommending solutions to transportation requirements and operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
