The Marketing Manager is responsible for ensuring market relevancy in the products and marketing areas including regional events and activities. Relevant design and execution are required as it relates to the regional business plan and budget.
This position will be focused on design inputs that tailor product and marketing portfolios to the market to drive optimization and returns for Virtuoso programs. This role must effectively champion the Virtuoso brand and product portfolio; ensuring that key performance ratios are improved, and margins are optimized. This role plays an important role in ensuring Virtuoso’s understanding of market activity and regional member and partner event expectations.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Planning and executing regional events.
- Provide input into the business plan and budget.
- Collaborate with Partner Relations to develop annual product strategies for the market.
- Create annual marketing plans and opportunity guides that maximize investment with Virtuoso and ROI for the partner.
- Reviews and makes recommendations on the relevance and quality of the Virtuoso product range.
- Collaborate with market team to determine commercial approach for existing partners.
- Identify potential partners so a strategic approach can be formed collaboratively.
- Drive communication on marketing and events.
- Analyze non-preferred production reports and propose strategies on how to improve market production.
- Keep GPR abreast of market needs, competition, news, etc.
- Provide local market intelligence to partners so they can better understand the agencies in market and ultimately increase engagement and other marketing opportunities.
- Manage the marketing and product margin in accordance with the business plan and budget.
- Ensure compliance with the Virtuoso “Playbook”.
- Delivery of key performance metrics as outlined in the Business plan.
- Identifying and developing regionally relevant Marketing and Event Products for the region.
- Delivery of annual Events schedule including venue contracts, sponsorship revenue and participation levels.
- Delivery of event and marketing revenue through creation of annual marketing budget plans with key regional partners.
- Identifying partner PD opportunities.
Educational and Skills Requirements:
- Relevant Tertiary qualification
- 4+ years of related business experience
- Work history reflecting excellence in responsibilities of this role
- Track record of success in luxury travel industry highly desired

Travel Requirements:
- Travel will be required for this role, approximately 35% of time will be spent traveling, meeting with partners, attending events, partner conferences, and team meetings.
- Travel will be primarily domestic but may include some international.

- Internal: This role will support the European regional market with a strong alignment to global Events, Marketing, PR, Product Management. Key job contacts are primarily regional team, and the regional General Manager.
