You are a talented and versatile Copywriter who enjoys shaping great copy to be used across the web. You're a storyteller, editor and you always consider design, and importantly our customer, when you write. You will quickly learn about our audience and create compelling content that empowers and delights users.
You will Join us in Berlin, as we embark on this exciting chapter in the continued growth of our business. You'll be writing in German and you'll have excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and verbal.
Job responsibilities
- Write engaging, strategic content across web, campaign and comms for the local market
- Help shape market-specific journeys in partnership with UX designers, product folks and developers, as well as ensuring all journeys are market-relevant
- Work with Marketing, Product and Brand in-country and in the central team to help lead design thinking and a customer-centric approach to banking
- Designing content that can be effectively reused in a way that's measurable, consistent, and above all else, beneficial for our customers.
- Proactively seek areas for improvement, communicating across teams (we call them squads and tribes) to find solutions
- Create scroll-stopping, useful content that will attract, retain and inform our customers
- Help colleagues to become better writers through collaboration and sharing best practice
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Your portfolio speaks for itself. You've earned your stripes and have the projects to prove it, with 3+ years of relevant writing experience.
- Native fluency in written and verbal German and professional fluency in English.
- You know the importance of creating consistent experiences and the role of content in shaping the whole proposition
- You enjoy demystifying complex jargon and language into something everyone can understand
- Understanding what is practical and what causes problems, you can form proposals around these constraints and opportunities
- Working with translation teams doesn't faze you. You're aware of content localization best practices and how to maintain a unified voice across different languages
- Used to working within brand style guides to ensure consistency of content across a business
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Communications, English, German, Journalism, Creative Writing, Human Centered Design or other area(s) of relevant focus
- Relevant experience working in banking or the financial industry
