What You'll Do
The Internet-of-Things (IoT) is now in its hyper-growth phase and Cisco is seeking a Sales Product Specialist to join our team to drive one of our key strategic business opportunities.
With the commercial realization of 5G SA in many markets today, the next generation of Connected Car leveraging 5G technology and features will fundamentally change the possible services and user experience within the next generation cars.
With this role, you will be helping support one of our key initiatives with the potential to unlock significant SaaS revenues over the coming years as well the potential to shape the capabilities within the portfolio to further strengthen our position in the overall IoT Connected Car market.
Responsibilities
- You will work with a small, focused team to drive this key strategic initiative for our SaaS IoT platform, with a strong business focus driving near-term Sales goals as well as strategic positioning of our portfolio and offers longer term.
- You will assess Car OEM pain points, market trends, competitive positioning as well as partnership opportunities to enhance the overall offers and make business decisions to maximize our chances of success as the market transitions from LTE to 5G.
- You will work with customers and Car OEMs to understand business needs, define business requirements, and drive decisions around product features, functionality, architecture, and design.
- You will measure the success of our undertakings by identifying and tracking key metrics.
Who You’ll Work With
- You will interface closely with Car OEMs, Service Providers and Partners as well as the Cisco Business Unit’s product management team to create differentiated Cisco offerings, driving our near- and long-term strategy as well revenue goals.
- You will also be working in strong alignment with the global and regional Cisco Sales Specialist Teams as well as the regional Cisco Account Teams.
- Your role is very strategic to Cisco and will be highly visible within the organization.
Who You Are
We are looking for an individual with strong business and technical acumen, excellent communication skills, and a great attitude.
Minimum Requirements are:
- 10+ years of relevant experience in the Connected Car business gained with Car OEMs, Service Providers or Infrastructure / device vendors.
- Relevant experience includes defining strategy for a Connected Car portfolio including C-V2X, MEC, AR/VR and associated value-add services.
- Business leader with a proven track record of building strong relationships, identifying business opportunities and unlocking new revenue streams, establishing GTM motions, creating win-win incentive structures for partners, financial modelling; strong business acumen overall.
- Strong leadership and soft skills in combination with technical savvy.
- Excellent critical thinking skills to make good decisions based on data in a dynamic environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills including ability to persuasively deliver presentations to senior executives, partners and customers.
- Fluent in English and any other European language, preferably German.
