Trade & Transportation Specialist (f/m/d)

Assisting the business function and/or Business Excellence Centers, as a Trade & Transportation Specialist (m/f/d), you will ensure that goods are shipped while meeting quality, legal and costs parameters.

This position reports to

Warehouse/Internal Logistic Manager

Your responsibilities

• Facilitating material movement and scheduling utilizing various transportation software systems, and handling customs and trade applications
• Coordinating daily activities to track finished goods and raw materials, and rerouting freight to meet demand and minimize costs
• Communicating status to internal customers as appropriate
• Working with transport service providers and brokers to effectively execute processes, assisting in obtaining permits, and preparing proper documentation

Your background

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role working in the industry or a freight forwarding company
• Sound knowledge of shipping, custom, export and import
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus
• A solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
• A vocational training as freight forwarding assistant, industrial clerk or similar
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken
