Senior Partner Relationship Manager

As Senior Partner Relationship Manager you will be a key leader within the Global Partnerships & Transactions team with main responsibility to coordinate and oversee various aspects of the relationship with RWE’s offshore wind current and potential future partners. This is a global role with expectation to travel to meet counterparties as and when needed.

Areas of responsibility

• Develop overarching partnering strategies to support RWE’s growth targets, liaising with other teams where applicable;
• Oversee industry developments, in particular markets, players and projects, which have direct impact on the implementation of the partnering strategy of RWE renewables globally;
• Lead outreach to partners and investors, introducing RWE and sourcing new investors/opportunities – in particular strategic new entrants to the sector but also institutional investor universe;
• Contribute to the updating and maintenance of regional partnership panels;
• Maintain systematic and periodic outreach and keep ongoing exchange/relationship with industry partners to exchange business updates and gain market insights;
• Build and maintain close relationships with relevant internal stakeholders to gather support for new opportunities and establish effective collaboration across units;
• Monitor status of relationship with partners in existent JVs and manage items relevant on the shareholder level and that might impact partnership with RWE on a global level;
• Leading commercial business development activities for the development and negotiation of joint ventures and other co-investments initiatives in a cross functional project management approach;
• Plan and coordinate participation in industry trade fairs and other events.
• Contribute to various assurance events, manage complex negotiation setups, and conduct various reviews as needed.
• Lead and encourage the use of customer relationship management CRM tools across the Partnership and Transactions community.

Your profile

• Business or management/quantitative degree, with at least 8 years of experience in the areas of Finance, Economics, Business Development, Strategy or Mergers & Acquisitions;
• Understanding of energy markets, technologies and their global interactions for renewables, as well as investor markets
• Technology know-how for Offshore-, Onshore Wind, Solar PV or Storage
• Analytical skills, ability to analyse and summarize complex topics and aggregate decision-relevant information
• Comfort in maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders (both internal and external)
• Advanced communication and presentation skills, ability to convey messages clearly and concisely, experience with executive-level communication
• High level of reliability, creativity, initiative and professionalism, solution- and service-oriented attitude
