Your Role
-
Driving technology-inspired innovation with an initial focus on the biomedical field, and evaluate and develop opportunities in the innovation sweet spot of desirability, feasibility, and viability, develop and implement a strategy and roadmap for a program to develop market-shaping applications and technologies in close collaboration with the ZEISS business units

Responsability of a program for the development of a new clinical application in the ophthalmic space

Managing a portfolio of interacting projects to demonstrate proof-of-concepts for new bio-medical applications

Initiation, management, and steering of projects and collaborations for technology and application development

Building and maintaining an external partner network in close cooperation with ZEISS stakeholders

Providing guidance to students and colleagues

Participation in an agile team and driving topics outside your immediate focus to support the overall success of the Innovation Hub.
Your Profile
-
University degree in life sciences, medicine, STEM, or technology and innovation management, ideally with a PhD
-
Profund experience in the development of technologies, applications, and solutions, ideally in the field of biomedicine or engineering biology

Trackrecord in proposing and managing complex projects with internal and external partners

Experience in the development of medical products is a plus
-
A holistic view of innovation and a desire to take topics beyond technology to market success

Excellent people and communication skills also with senior management stakeholders

Fluent English language skills, a hands-on mentality, an open mind, excellent problem-solving, communication and innovation skills as well as a clear user focus

Passion for innovation and enthusiasm for new technologies as well as fun working in agile, interdisciplinary teams
