Your role: As the Retail Operations Manager Northern Europe you will be part of the Global DTC Team based in our Munich offices. Reporting directly to the Northern Europe Retail Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all store operations, projects, and procedures within the Northern Europe Region. You will partner with our Store Managers to improve existing processes, furthermore, to identify new ones which are aligned with company strategy. You are a strong and collaborative team player; an individual that builds a climate of service excellence and operational efficiency by maximizing the performance of our retail portfolio (stores / outlets).
What you will do: - DIGITAL:“be the key expert and touchpoint for all POS”
- Lead digital transformation (rollout of new soft and hardware due to omnichannel services)
- Cash Desk & CRM System
- Enhance POS infrastructure
- Key user for staff planning tool
- Guide store managers using MS Office and various POS software
- OPERATIONS:
- Interface with Headquarter e.g., Global IT, Visual Merchandise, Marketing, Merchandise Management
- Project Management for store openings, take overs and closures, Pop Up stores, and refits
- Prepare & support our weekly store manager calls and take appropriate action plans (inclusive of staffing, assortment, consumer journeys & store environment)
- Provide stores with information with weekly retail newsletter, deliver information from Headquarter to POS, guidelines, compliance and policy regulations
- Weekly KPI Reporting (provide analysis)
- Work on Store Operations Manual
- Touchpoint for store maintenance matters
- Support stores with logistic topics
- Ensure Visual Merchandise guidelines are adhered
- Contact person for local suppliers
- Organize and coordinate travels e.g., Store Manager Meetings, Trainings, Workshops
- MERCHANDISE MANAGEMENT:
- Liaise with Merchandise Management (HQ) for effective replenishment
- Review weekly store deliveries vs. plan
- Monitor and support “End of Season” returns
- Staff uniform handling
- Support Store Managers by assortment request
- Handle price changes
- Provide feedback to buying team to optimize assortment planning
- Regularly check of “stock on hands” to avoid negatives
- Monitor and feedback store capacities to Merchandise Management
- Initiate inter-store transfers to optimize merchandise performance
- STOCK CONTROL:
- Plan, undertake and be accountable for all aspects of inventory operations, monitoring loss-prevention and inventory discrepancies
- Upon business need coordinate cycle counts
- Report stock shrinkage
- TRAINING/ STORE VISITS:
- Coach Store Managers on how to develop excellent customer service
- Follow up actions on customer experience evaluation results
- Train an efficient use of the CRM tool and define effective clienteling action plans with the stores
- Train store team on all cash desk functionalities
- Regularly store visits to check loss prevention guidelines are followed
- Seasonal Collection and Product Trainings
- Check store facilities are according Woolrich standards
- FINANCE:
- First contact for all payment providers
- Check store´s cash reports
- Monitor store hospitality expenses
- HUMAN RESOURCES:
- Support payroll preparation store employees
- Incentive program management
- Organization of temporary staff
Experience & qualifications you will bring: - 3+ years as store manager ideally in premium retail experience
- 2+ years as Retail Area Manager ideally in premium retail experience
- Bachelor of Arts / Science degree or greater
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate productively and ability to influence in a team environment
