Within Global Business Services (GBS), our Business Relationship Management team is responsible for establishing and sustaining partnerships between our infrastructure service delivery groups and our internal business divisions within Wolters Kluwer.
We have an immediate need for a Technology Program Manager (m/f/d) within our Business Relationship Management team to help coordinate projects between our service delivery groups and our Tax & Accounting business division in Europe. The Program Manager (m/f/d) will participate in key project meetings, manage communications between IT delivery teams and business stakeholders, keep leaders appraised of project status and help facilitate risk management for assigned initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical program management, change management, and communication skills. He or She will work closely with IT Project Managers, Architectures, Engineers, Business Relationship Managers, and Business application owners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Program management over assigned IT projects including developing pragmatic project delivery and implementation plans with Project teams, reporting on milestones, issues, actions, risks, and budget
Supporting Business Analysis and requirements gathering activities to initiate project requests
Assisting with project scope definition, developing cost estimates and business cases
Ensuring project artifacts are reviewed and adhere to WK’s PMO standards and guidelines
Creating and delivering Executive level presentations and status reports
Assisting with Demand Management and Resource Management planning to ensure alignment of priorities and resource availability to meet business stakeholders’ expectations and timelines
Driving collaboration and accountability with various project team members to implement infrastructure projects in a complete and timely manner consistent with business needs
Supporting the BRM (Business Relationship Management) and CIO with strategy planning, management and steering activities
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree a Plus
Job Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 10+ years’ experience in managing complex IT projects
Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with business partners and IT service delivery groups (internal or vendors) including strong collaboration with project teams and senior level stakeholders to promote successful project activity
Experienced in managing people and stakeholders within a matrix organization, with and without direct reporting lines
Ability to conduct an analysis of business needs, including scheduling meetings, planning agendas, conferring with business line leaders, documenting, and making verbal and written presentations
Experience in initiating project reviews, aggregating and coordinating project reporting information into a program level communication suitable for Senior Executive consumption
Demonstrated budget management, risk management, tracking and forecasting skills and experience
Adept in stakeholder management and executive communication (both verbal and written) as well as presentation skills
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced team environment with geographically dispersed associates and vendors
Demonstrated excellence in technical project management methodology and procedures with seasoned negotiation skills
Demonstrate effective decision making by leveraging analytical and problem-solving skills
Entrepreneurial mindset by playing an active role in delivering projects and continuous improvement opportunities
