Responsibilities
- Drive the product line strategy implementation associated with e-mobility manufacturing programs across industries, regions and accounts liaising with the respective Business Development Directors, regional Industry Development Managers, regional Sales Managers and representatives to ensure Chem-Trend’s competitive differentiation and leading supply position.
- Responsible for identifying new business opportunities within the e-mobility customer base implementing projects with the regional sales team(s) and other functional areas or external partnerships to deliver aggressive sales growth.
- Consult on any account that is involved in e-mobility manufacturing programs to ensure that local activities remain consistent with the global strategy. The ultimate responsibility for regional accounts remains with the local sales teams.
- Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Business Analytics systems for data requirements in managing this business and in working with the regional sales teams.
- Provide training and development to the regional sales resources focused on the automotive / e-mobility markets, including regional distributors and agents who have been selected as channel partners.
- Develop business strategy for the e-mobility market providing the Business Development Directors with the necessary input on the technology requirements to achieve the strategy.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that technology availability is in synchronization with ongoing commercial projects and technical services required to achieve market strategy.
- Cultivate strong relationships with decision makers and trend setters in leading OEM’s, Tier 1 and 2 suppliers, co-suppliers, and industry institutions in order to raise Chem-Trend’s profile as the market leader within the e-mobility segment.
- Develop and support the implementation of the marketing communications strategy for the product lines associated with e-mobility manufacturing programs, in conjunction with the Marketing and Technology teams.
- Provide information about the e-mobility industry activities and key market conditions to the Chem-Trend Global executive team, including a quarterly report and regular meetings.
- Provide updates on the expected business impact resulting from new opportunities and manufacturing program eliminations associated with the evolving substitution of combustion engine vehicles by electric ones.
- This position can be based in any Chem-Trend region but
- must work on-site some days per month, depending on
- your location.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field such as engineering or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years’ experience in product line / sales management role within the automotive market, preferably within the e-mobility manufacturing segment.
- 5+ years’ experience working in multi-disciplinary teams with international colleagues at various levels within the organization. A clear ability to influence dotted line reports and channel partners that do not have direct reporting responsibility to this position.
- Fluent in written and spoken English. Additional languages would be preferred. (Chinese or German preferred)
- Familiarity with the use of collaboration tools and databases such as CRM, Microsoft Teams, Business Analytics, etc.
- Ability to work outside of regular business hours.
- Ability to travel internationally approximately 40% of time.
