Job Description
The Opportunity:
In this position you will manage inventory distribution for defined countries and maximize order allocation and use of market inventory. You will provide accurate visibility of current and future stock levels and coordinate rework / VAS (Value Added Services) activities. Furthermore, you will be responsible for maximizing the Unit Fill Rate for the market.
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Being main person responsible for the daily Inventory Business
- Maximize allocation of orders by monitoring physical and in-transit inventory levels across all product lines
- Analyze and minimize unshippable items
- Promotion Management - check and manage inventory to cover promotional activities and prioritize orders
- Provide Supply Chain /Customer Service and Sales with visibility regarding the timing of order fulfillment
- First point of contact for Supply Chain / Customer Service and Sales providing visibility on future stock replenishment and potential supply issues
- Discuss potential inventory issues with Planning Department to ensure that Sales and Marketing forecasts are achievable given current and predicted levels of inventory
- Make maximum use of market owned stock
- Prioritize incoming containers into the DC to ensure maximum Unit Fill Rate
- Develop reporting tools to improve the visibility of Avail
- Support regional reworks team
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
- B.A. Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain or Logistics / Planning
- Fluent in German and English, other languages are a plus
- First experience in a Supply Chain Inventory Analyst role and in FMCG industry
- Expert proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to analyze and interpret numerical data
- Good understanding of Supply Chain Management
- Ability to find & recommend solutions to potential issues
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload (80/20 pareto)
- Ability to work in a busy, fast paced environment and keep calm under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels
- Strong computer skills: Excel; Cognos & AS400 desirable; SQL advantageous
- Ability to influence and achieve expected results independently by establishing effective cross-functional & cross-culture relationships
- High level of organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional problem solving & analytical ability
- Proactive mindset
- Ability to perform in a demanding, dynamic and highly visible organisation
