Summary
For our “Missile Warning Engineering” team at our Taufkirchen site we are looking for a “Software Engineer for System Simulation (f/m/d)” at the earliest point of time.
The department is responsible for the development of electro-optical systems for detection of missile threats. This covers the entire live cycle of the products starting at the offer phase along with development of demonstrators/prototypes, product and series development as well as series support and incremental product improvements.
As a software engineer within the simulations team, you will design, develop, and test our in-house simulation software and algorithms. You will program the core simulation infrastructure and collaborate on building of models and algorithms.
This is a high impact role where you will work across engineering disciplines to build high fidelity simulations used to develop cutting-edge missile warning systems.

Your Tasks

Design and development of system simulations and evaluation of system performance through simulation

Design and development of image and signal processing algorithms for electro optical systems
-
Specification, verification and validation of simulation software and algorithms
-
Data analysis for improvement and adaption of system performance

Customer support with respect to system functionality and system performance
-
Close cooperation with system engineering for the definition of functional requirements, system design, system performance and system verification

Close cooperation with software engineering for development of algorithm libraries for embedded real-time systems
Your Profile
-
Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics (or equivalent)

Extensive professional experience in specification, design, implementation and validation of simulations and algorithms

Sound knowledge of C/C++ and MATLAB

Very good knowledge of software development best practices

Knowledge of configuration management and development processes

Analytical and structured approach

Excellent interpersonal, team work and communication skills

Negotiation level of English and Germanl
