Strategy Analyst

Key Role:

Provide on-site strategy support to the U.S. European Command. Support the Strategy Division as a strategy analyst responsible for writing, analyzing, coordinating, and implementing Combatant Command strategies and processes. Bring experience and expertise with strategy development and implementation processes and programs. Analyze and recommend changes to Departmental strategy, policy, and guidance documents to support U.S. European Command objectives and priorities. Provide subject matter expertise and recommended command positions for key national security topics in the European Area of Responsibility. Develop client-ready deliverables for General Officers, to include briefs, information papers, talking points, memorandums, and strategic documents. Facilitate senior leader participation in Joint Staff, and CCMD meetings and events to advocate on behalf of command equities and promote priority talking points. Work as a detail-oriented self-starter in a fast-paced environment without considerable direction and take initiative to develop, recommend, and implement innovative solutions to complex problems.

Basic Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience at a DoD Service-level headquarters, Component, CCMD, Joint Staff, OSD, or Interagency level

• 3+ years of experience in DoD strategy or policy

• Experience developing executive-level strategic documents for General Officers and Flag officers

• Knowledge of the National Defense Strategy and National Military Strategy

• Ability to work independently with little or no direction

• TS/SCI clearance

• Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with European Studies, NATO, or the regional plans problem set

• Experience working individually and as part of a team to oversee plan of action and milestones (POA&M)

• Knowledge with project management ensuring on-time delivery of complex deliverables

• Knowledge with the Joint planning process or NATO planning process

• Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Master's degree in International Relations, Foreign Policy, Security Studies, European Affairs, or related field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $81,800.00 to $186,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
