Within the Client Care department, the Demand & Supply Planner plays a central role in driving operational excellence and maintaining a balance between supply and demand dynamics.
Your responsibility will be to ensure an efficient supply chain process while managing the end-to-end spare parts planning. The role includes procurement needs, demand planning and distribution planning for Asia and EMEA regions.
The position will report to the Global Supply Chain Manager of the Client Care activity.
Position based in Cologne (DE)
Travel requirement : once per year to Asia
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the Procurement planning
- Define the monthly purchase forecast of the spare part portfolio (2000 SKU) on 12 months horizon
- Execute the weekly purchase orders to factories and to suppliers to replenish the central hub
- Based on MOQ, lead time and demand volume, decide if the ordering process is via an internal transfer of central hub or directly to the supplier
- Responsible for the planning tool set up : stock coverage, safety stock, replenishment frequency, ABC classification
Manage the Demand Planning
- Based on historical repair data & market trends, forecast spare parts needs on a 12 months horizon; adjust demand forecast based on seasonality
- Collaborate with product design team to gather information on product launches, product evolutions & end of life that may impact the demand
- Responsible for the forecast accuracy
Ensure & monitor the distribution planning
- Manage daily planning to distribute products from central hub to local hub and from local hub to repair workshops & stores
- Proactive communication on all spare parts related topics to local markets : propose substitution, stock buffer set up
- Ensure product visibility and availability (OTIF) to local hubs, workshops & stores
- Responsible for inventory level in hubs (avoid stock out or overstock situations)
Continuous Improvement & project
- Bring expertise & contribute in the S&OP Repair project
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, business administration or related field; or training in a commercial/ technical environment (e.g. technician, technical business economist or certificate of master craftsman)
- 5+ years’ experience in Supply Chain, S&OP or Planning, ideally in the luxury, FMCG or manufacturing industry; or Master’s degree with 3+ years’ experience
- Experienced in working with planning tools and excellent Excel skills
- Strong communication skills, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Synthetic and well-structured mindset with priority management
- Be pro-active with continuous improvement mindset and willing to challenge the status quo
- English fluency mandatory; German, Mandarin, Japanese skills would be a plus
