Director* Supplier Relationship Management
As Director* Supplier Relationship Management you will be making a meaningful contribution to the ongoing development of our RNA production processes. In this role, you will define and shape the supplier strategy and relationships completely independently, supporting us on our mission.
Your tasks:
- Within our External Supply Organisation (ESO) drive in close cooperation with the CMC development teams, the selection process of and contract negotiations with the external service providers for our pipeline products
- Transfer development projects into a large scale production environment
- Managing the performance of the accounts and teams, i.e. setting aspirational targetsfor the accounts' KPI dashboards, setting motivational goals for Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) members with functional heads, serving as primary point of escalation for challenges and target adherence, as well as reviewing KPI's with suppliers and internal teams
- Ensuring the implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs) and communicating changes and challenges with suppliers
- Leading and reviewing continuous improvement projects and prioritizing and leading innovation ideas (e.g. drug delivery systems) in collaboration with suppliers
- Assuring the SRM serves as single point of contact to 3rd parties; coordinating across functions and leadership teams; leading all functions assigned to the Contract Manufacturing Organisation (e.g. Quality, Manufacturing Sciences & Technology (MS&T), Analytical Science & Technology (AS&T), Supply Chain Management (SCM), etc.)
- Setting resource plans and budgets. Planning major projects required in the upcoming year, creating project and account plans (capacity, saving, changes) writing 3-5 year strategic plans for accounts
- You will report directly to the Senior Director SRM
What you have to offer
- University degree in Supply Chain Management, Internationa Business Management, Engineering, Life Sciences or a Medical Field
- Several years of experience in the life science industry (ideally a biontech or a pharmaceutical industry), including expertise in Supplier Relationship Management
- In-depth business knowledge of biotech and pharmaceutical development, manufacturing and supply chain operations, along the E2E value chain
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage contracts, and establish and control budgets
- Good combination of strategic and operational skills; ability to make flexible, but thorough decisions in a highly dynamic environment
- Effective stakeholder management, both in cross-functional internal and external martix team environment
- Strong project management, team work and communication skills
- Profound knowledge of relevant US & EU regulations, EMA, FDA and other regulatory standards as well as Good Manufacturing Practices
- Creativity and the ability to develop a flexible approach to changing conditions
- Organizational skills to ensure optimal resource allocation
- Refined correspondance skills in both German an English; presentation skills adaptable to all levels of internal and external stakeholders
