A&M’s Private Equity Performance Improvement Services (PEPI) practice focuses on serving upper middle market and large cap private equity firms who have engaged A&M to help improve financial and operating results at their portfolio companies.
As a Business Development Analyst (m/f/d) within our PEPI practice you will manage the following key responsibilities, supported by the European Private Equity Performance team:
- Implementing new business development and generating new clients by elaborating pitches but also client proposals and marketing collateral
- As an internal account manager you ensure the smooth development of key accounts and evaluate their progress through data consolidation and participating in key account review meetings
- Conducting in-depth company research (general overviews, review of services, competition and industry segments) and research of trends and latest developments in the market
- Implementing basic financial analysis including profit & loss review, cost trend analysis and benchmarking against industry peers
- Developing outside-in analyses on investment targets and on Private Equity portfolio companies
At best you already have some relevant consulting experience and the following qualifications:
- Master‘s degree or MBA
- Knowledge or previous experience of the Private Equity market would be ideal but is not as essential as a keen interest in the sector;
- Strong analytical skills with a basic financial acumen including understanding of financial statements, key financial metrics and revenue & expenses trends;
- Excellent interpersonal skills to form strong working relationships with members of the team and those of other practices;
- Good Excel and PowerPoint skills;
- Fluency in English and German
