Our "Pre-development & Future Technologies" department is looking for a master thesis student to work on a ‘fast track’ predevelopment approach along a real AI-based infotainment feature.
Both departments works on continuously evaluating future technology trends and their impact on CARIAD key technologies and future customer features. We emphasize cross-functional collaboration within the predevelopment teams as well as a continuous process and governance evolution. Our teams consist of curious people with a strong future mindset – embedded into a worldwide innovation network of the VW Group, start up ecosystem and independent research institutes.
In this role, you will combine a hands-on development approach of the infotainment team with theoretical knowledge work.
- Create a new ‘fast track’ predevelopment process simultaneously applied to real AI-based infotainment features
- Identify & evaluate new AI-based development methodologies with a strong focus on process speed
- Conduct research about best practices in academic research, competitors, tech players and start-ups.
- Work closely together with the infotainment and innovation strategy teams to apply the findings in a proof-of-concept
- dInitiate and maintain the process ocumentation
- Good to excellent academic performance.
- Enrolled student (or bachelor's graduate starting master's program as soon as possible) in Engineering, Innovation, Technology Management, Digitalization or equivalent field.
- Knowledge in automotive development processes, e.g. by former working experience at an OEM (e.g. as intern, working student,…)
- Strong affinity to AI methodologies (LLM)
- Fluent in English and German.
- Strong analytical understanding and communication skills.
