POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for leading the EU order management team (3 people) driving global backlog, and ensuring execution of shipment plan. You will partner and coordinate across a team of business functional professionals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for driving global backlog management and ensuring EU execution to monthly shipment plan

• Own the proactive communication of supply chain challenges, countermeasures, and time to resolution to the rest of Hach

• Develop and implement new strategies and procedures, where required, to ensure visibility, productivity, and delivery of the strategy execution plan

• Align regional OM & Planning teams globally by developing robust SW playbooks, escalation procedures, and other relevant documents

• Partner closely with customer support, procurement, and the commercial organization to ensure our customers are being satisfied in all aspects of order fulfillment (OTD, proactive communication of SC constraints, lead time alignment, etc.)

• Owns EU OTD metric problem-solving and partnering with sites to determine root causes & countermeasures for misses

• Responsible for managing EU finished goods inventory levels including decision-making around make-to-order vs make-to-stock and setting finished goods levels for make-to-stock products

• Lead the EU order management, intercompany planning, resale, and distribution demand planning teams

• Partner with the commercial organization to develop and deploy a PSI process for our core EU product lines

• Ensure the demand planning processes are supporting the Hach volume growth and flexibility of the different business requirement

• Owns global inventory & working capital metric problem-solving and partnering with sites to determine root causes & countermeasures for misses

• As needed, support manufacturing plants by improving raw material fulfillment practices

Position Competencies:

• In-depth knowledge of global supply chain process and linkage.

• Understanding Inventory optimization to drive customer satisfaction while maintaining cost.

• Experience in a Supply Chain / Production Control / Purchasing role.

• Good knowledge of Manufacturing ERP systems ideally including Oracle

• Highly self-motivated, confident, and dependable with solid follow-up skills

• Strong Collaboration skills / Good negotiation skills.

• Good Leadership and management skills.

Education/Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in related fields; degree as an Industrial and Management Engineer specializing in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management is an advantage

• 5+ years in an advanced role with supply chain, warehouse, manufacturing, or planning

• Fluent in German and English

• Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, organizational skills, communication & problem-solving abilities

• Experience of a leading position within a process change and/or system development project is an advantage

• Experience and knowledge in Oracle, Warehousing operation, Planning, Transportation & Customs business is a strong advantage
