The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
The Senior Accountant (m/f/*) plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial data and processes within the organization. While transactional accounting work is handled by our shared service center, the local accountant is responsible for overseeing these processes, analysing financial information, and providing insights and support to different departments and stakeholders. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
As a Senior Accountant (m/w/*), you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

Analysing financial data provided by the shared service centre to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement. Providing insights and recommendations to different departments, shared service center and management

Supporting in the preparation of tax returns, compliance with tax laws and regulations as required, and providing support during tax audits

Assisting with internal and external audits, including preparing audit schedules, providing documentation, and addressing audit findings

Monitoring internal controls related to financial processes and transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Identifying control weaknesses and recommending corrective actions

Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal and external standards (US-GAAP, statutory GAAP and GFS)

Preparing and compiling internal and governmental statistical reports in accordance with established guidelines, formats, and deadlines. Ensuring that all required information is included and presented accurately
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Expert in accounting or finance roles

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. SAP, Oracle)

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Fluent in English
