We are responsible for the Business development & Sales of the IoT and cybersecurity applications across all customer segments and regions within the Electrification & Automation Business Unit.
Driving technical promotion and marketing activities of IoT and cybersecurity applications, We are accelerating the digital transformation with Siemens Xcelerator marketplace and delivering Value Propositions across the IoT and cybersecurity application portfolio spectrum as well as establish and lead the IoT Ambassador Community through the whole sales process.
What part will you play? - As a technical sales expert for power distribution and automation systems, you will drive sales for digital IoT products and cyber security services in all verticals and focus on customers and the sale of software and connected hardware
- You will be responsible for planning and implementing strategic sales targets and ensuring a continuous and profitable order intake for the new growing IoT business within the Electrification & Automation business unit
- You will also develop and implement global marketing concepts and strategies for focus/named accounts for the digital IoT portfolio
- You will initiate and support sales projects of the IoT and cyber security service business together with regions, Vertical Managers and coordinate sales activities with marketing, product management and order execution
- You will be responsible for providing technical support to customers on products and their integration into power systems, interacting with PLM and OEX teams at HQ to define requirements within products and make them digitization friendly
- You will conduct analyses of customer development, monitor the market and competition, identify trends / market requirement and new business opportunities and use these to develop future-oriented sales strategies for our target markets
- You will manage the preparation of quotations, conduct negotiations and generate orders
- You will cultivate strong relationships with customers being responsive, trustworthy and reliable
- You will drive strategic projects e.g. for new business models to generate new market potentials or develop concepts for setting up customer success management
What you need to make real what matters. - You have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, informatics, economics or business administration
- You have long term experience of sales , preferably in the field of IoT or cyber security services or general IT topics
- You have experience in dealing with regional and international customers and understand their investment and buying behavior. You also have a good understanding of customers' business needs and you are able to effectively manage customer expectations
- In addition, you convince with product and system knowledge of medium & low-voltage switchgear, experience with E-Houses as well as experience in dealing with software sales is an advantage
- Proficiency in IoT technologies, cloud technology, protocols, and communication standards, routing, wireless communications (e.g., MQTT, Modbus TCP/IP, IEC61850) are mandatory
- You are characterized by an independent way of working, teamwork skills by commitment and reliability as well as by a sense of responsibility and resilience
- You convince with customer orientation and negotiation skills as well as with excellent communication skills and a confident appearance
- You have adequate knowledge of contract law and a good command of written and spoken English. Further language skills are highly appreciated
- You are proficient in MS Office applications and common CRM tools
You are open to international travel for at least 30% of your time and already have intercultural experience and sensitivity
