Basic Qualifications

• Knowledge in MS Office programs especially Excel

The Amazon EU Student Programs Team is looking for ambitious, motivated and curious students to join us as a Working Student in one of our Finance departments. Each role comes with a variety of tasks as outlined below.

Amazon teams work to help improve the selection and shopping experience for customers across our product categories, from books to fashion, electronics to grocery, movies and music to toys and health & beauty, and everything in between. As a Finance Working Student, you will learn how Amazon handles its e-commerce retail business, working alongside a finance manager to help provide a suite of services designed to support Amazon's most strategic brands within our retail categories. Your priority will be to work backwards from the customer, identifying ways to grow brands and improve their performance. To help you in delivering your objectives, you will be able to rely on valuable training and onboarding, and the strong network you will create within your team and through social events. In parallel you will also have the necessary flexibility in your work setup to succeed in your studies.

As a Retail Finance Working Student, you will be actively involved in in the preparation of the month-end closing activities, and will be responsible for the maintenance and further development of management reporting. Together with our finance analysts you will support on cost-effectiveness and variance analyzes, and work on specific and cross-divisional issues to help our business deliver the best to our customers. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects across our businesses and market places (full ownership or in collaboration with a team), and will have the chance to get exposure to our senior management. Your ability to work autonomously on the topics you own and your creativity in inventing and simplifying the current status quo will be recognized and valued.

As an Accounting Working Student, you will assist with general accounting month-end and year-end closing procedures. You will support the Accounting team by compiling and analyzing data and tracking information. An Accounting Working Student handles sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity, provides support for statistical reporting, and supports in day-to-day work and ad-hoc requests.

Following the completion or your studies and a successful time as working student in the company, you will have the possibility to consider and apply for a Finance Trainee program.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good communications skills
• Good Excel user, ideally also SQL
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Results-driven focus with analytical capability
• Interest in working with datasets and perform projects/tasks related to setting up management reporting and report automation
• Fluent written and verbal communication in English
