About the job
The Business Development Manager will develop, implement, and execute commercial plans for ICL’s Phosphate Specialties Division. You can start almost from scratch in a growing business and a growing team. You will report to the Director BD & Strategy Battery Materials, based in Tel-Aviv.
- Identify new opportunities in the business of Battery Materials
- Represent Battery Materials at fairs and present on conferences
- Conduct sales presentations in person and remotely
- Customer acquisition and point of contact for new customers
- Manage qualification timelines with customers
- Respond to customer requests for product and cost information
- Assess market trends and competitive landscape
- Develop customer relationships, providing technical and commercial expertise
- Drive the sales pipeline - including lead generation, proposals
- Provide support to joint development customers
- Work with Head of Battery Materials to prioritize early-stage customers and ensure that regular touch points are established
- International travel of 30%
Technical and personal requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Business/Market Development preferably in the field of Automotive or Energy
- Technical background (Chemical/Material Engineering or Chemistry Degree)
- 3+ years in a customer-facing role in the battery materials space is an advantage
- Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to interact with other functions in a cross-disciplinary environment
- Experience in developing business plans for new products and markets
- High-level communication and presentation skills
- Excellent Interpersonal skills and a team player
- Very good market understanding while identifying significant trends
- Fluency in English
