What part will you play?
In this role, you will be part of our dynamic Combined Infrastructure Solutions team. Our focus is on the development of customized solutions for large-scale offshore projects.
You will manage large-scale offshore projects independently and be responsible for the project outcome from technical clarification to acceptance. The international projects have an average duration of approx. 4 to 5 years. Depending on the project phase, your travel activity ranges up to approx. 30% within Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
- You provide dedicated advice to the sales department and customers as early as the acquisition and bidding phase, review and specify the customer's specifications, and analyze inquiries in terms of contract design, timeframe, and technical feasibility
- As part of the tender preparation and costing process, you responsibly check and clarify technical, economic, and environmental risks. In the event of discrepancies between the specifications and the offer descriptions, you will clarify the matter with the customer
- For large-scale projects, you are responsible for defining the project strategy, drafting the structure plan, planning the project phases, and implementing the project with commitment, taking into account technical, economic, and time aspects
- For the duration of the project, you will provide technical leadership to a team of engineers and technicians, define their work packages, commission external subcontractors, be responsible for work safety on the construction site, and keep a constant eye on the current project status by reviewing milestone sections in the project schedule. If necessary, you adjust the process
- You are the first point of contact for our customers, act as an interface to suppliers and internal specialist departments, and continuously coordinate deadlines, technology, and results - always reliably ensuring that the economic specifications and our contractual obligations are met
- In addition, you will be responsible for project controlling and, in cooperation with the commercial project management, will carry out costing
- Throughout the project, you will keep a constant eye on change, folder, claim and risk management and evaluate your projects at the end of the project
- After completion of the project, you will continue to be available to the customer during the warranty period to answer questions, initiate corrections, and coordinate service
What you need to make real what matters. - The basis of your success is a successfully completed degree in an engineering discipline, e.g. mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable discipline
- Alternatively, you have completed a technical apprenticeship with many years of relevant professional experience
- Furthermore, you have many years of experience in project management of large-scale projects in the field of technical plant construction
- You have extensive experience in the technical management of project teams
You can prove your very good knowledge in project management by the project management certification IPMA - ideally you are certified according to PM - (at)Siemens
- In addition, you score with your reliable way of working, a customer-friendly appearance as well as with a close cooperative teamwork
- Fluent written and spoken German and English as well as willingness to travel to construction sites in Europe, the Middle East and Asia complete your profile
