The Human Resources Manager supports the HR Director/Management for all generalist HR activities, specifically reviewing and advising on HR policies and processes across the business, ensuring the most effective utilisation of human resources for the purpose of achieving strategic business objectives.
This role primarily acts HR Business Partner delivering operational HR advice to line managers across the business and providing the full range of general Human Resources services and activities.
Fundamental roles and responsibilities which are inherent to the position:
- Human Resources Information – Keep all informationup to date and in order and create reports for HRI/Management for data analysis as well as additional reports as required from time to time. Attending meetings and hearings, taking minutes and producing written reports and management information as required.
- Payroll - Liaise with Payroll Supplier to track staff movements within business and changes of terms and conditions of employment. Supporting the payroll process, ensuring accurate records are kept and that regular checks take place.
- Recruitment, Selection & Induction – Ensure the achievement of the recruitment plan for Project/Department. Develop Recruitment, Selection and Induction procedures. Coach managers and provide ongoing support. Manage direct recruitment as required and directed by BU. Ability to understand and analyse the local job/talent market to suit the CAF needs. Ensure that Employment Agreements are compliant and suit business needs. Maintain and update from time to time the Employee Handbook. Organise new starters documentation. Works closely with concerned and relevant agencies to build up the brand image.
- Performance Review Management - Manage and maintain the Performance Appraisal Processes deployed as a Group.
- Policies and Procedures – Maintain and update all company HR policies and procedures in-line with the global policies of the Company. On going coaching of managers as well as periodic training of staff. Ensure complete compliance with any statutory requirements for the Company.
- Employee Relations - Partner with managers on providing advice on all employment relations matters. Facilitating disciplinarily proceedings, redundancies and terminations from time to time. Ensure all documentation is legally compliant and in-line with the best industry practice. Coach and assist managers in performance management processes. Maintain Employment Agreements and Position descriptions for all staff. Interpret award entitlements terms, collective agreement relation matters and conditions in changing workplace relations environment. Take initiative and promote appropriate HR programs to create efficient and conflict-free workplace.
- Learning and Development - Manage Induction and orientation program. Assist with Training Needs Analysis, development of Training Plans and maintain training records. Source and facilitate external training for staff. Roll out internal training on company policies/procedures and legal compliance. Deliver internal courses as required including Induction presentations.
- Health and Safety – Actively participate in promoting health and safety in the workplace and encourage others to do the same. Take part in health and safety initiatives, such as workplace inspections, hazard identification and others as required. Assist with Return to Work co-ordination of Injured workers in rehabilitation phase.
- Ensure all work is carried out in a safe manner in line with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality consciousness. Advise management of any changes in materials, plant or processes which may impact on safety, quality or the environment, as well as any improvements that could advance CAF's quality and environmental performance.
- Mobility (Expatriates) - Liase with visa supplier &facilitate visa applications as needed. Assist with relocation of new starters if coming from another location.
