About the Role: Our Enterprise Product and Chemical Stewardship (PaCS) team is looking for a ‘Product Steward’ (f/m/d) to join the team in the EMEA, supporting our Performance Solutions Division. PaCS is part of Gore’s Enterprise Sustainability team and provides expertise on chemicals, regulations, material composition and material chain of custody to enable businesses to develop, make and sell products globally. In this role you will be working in partnership with the current Stewards to support the Global teams to identify, initiate, develop and implement operational and business processes to identify opportunities, assess and manage risk to assure that our products are in compliance with legal requirements and also meet industry, customer and Divisional expectations.
This role will be located at our Pleinfeld facility in Pleinfeld, Germany or in our Dundee facility in Dundee.
Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain a fundamental understanding of raw and supplied materials and components used to manufacture products and for manufacturing processes to ensure product safety compliance throughout the lifecycle
- Assessing suppliers, including review of supplier compliance documentation translate supplier information into Gore compliance information
- Effective data management and retaining appropriate records in accordance with record retention including routine and regular data gathering and data entry
- Respond to direct requests for PaCS information or service, in partnership with sales operations
- Execute PaCS processes in alignment with role expectations (e.g. Supplier surveys and product content details – industry portals, e.g. IMDS and ChemSherpa)
- Prepare correspondence as needed, e.g., compliance declarations, supplier surveys, product safety information
- Assist in gap assessments and the auditing process, as appropriate
- Provide review and feedback of PaCS processes, documentation (Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, etc.) suggest changes to improve data collection processes.
- Consulting with other PSD sites on processes and regulatory inquiries
- Working with the Enterprise Product and Chemical Stewardship Team to identify, prioritize and complete global initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in related field, such as Biology, Toxicology, Chemistry, Occupational Safety and Health, or Environmental Science, equivalent experience, or mastery of topic
- Demonstrated expertise in data management tools (Excel, pivot tables, etc.) as well as skills in organisational priority-setting with high attention to detail and follow-through
- Proven problem solving skills with the ability to prepare and submit reports as well as execute and maintain processes
- Understand risk management waterline including tolerable/intolerable risk
- Ability to actively engage and partner with supply chain, quality, sales and technical Associates
- Proven ability to follow work instructions and procedures
- Ability to effectively lead self as well as contribute in a team environment
- Self-motivated, highly organised, detail oriented and able to effectively multi-task
- Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation skills with fluency in English and German
- Ability to travel 10% andwillingness for a longer stay abroad for training depending on the home location
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience of Global regulations, Product Stewardship
- Previous success working within a diverse/global or cross functional teams
- Knowledge of: Management systems (ISO14001, 45001 or similar). PLM and ERP ( SAP) systems
