The Department of Exploration is looking for a Remote Sensing Research Engineer (f/m/d) (subject to project approval).
Collaboration in a multi-disciplinary international project on the monitoring of mining facilities using Earth-Observation and ground geophysical data
Application of existing tools for EO data processing (including land-cover classification, geological and environmentak mapping, change detection and resolution enhancement)
Merging these tools into a unified workflow aimed at monitoring mining deposits
Compilation in a Python-based code package
Collaboration with project partners from research and industry sectors
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in fields such as Remote Sensing, Geoinformatics, or related areas
Proficiency in Python programming, machine learning and utilisation of open-source EO data processing tools
Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and interdisciplinary environment
Strong command of the English language
