The Bakery Category Marketing Manager is responsible for defining the bakery category marketing strategy and for building a marketing plan that enables to drive growth for the category.
Core Responsibilities:
- Bakery strategy category plan development: own and develop the category growth strategy together with category team and growth platforms. Review the category strategy and adapt it to the changing environment and Ingredion strategy.
- Category profitability: joint ownership with the category leadership team to increase the profitability of the category. Conduct on a regular basis an analysis of the profitability of the category and identify actions to improve it
- Category Insights generation: partner with the global insights team to shape the insights and market research program for the category. Translate these insights and trends to identify pockets of growth and growth opportunities for the category and to deliver compelling presentations to customers.
- Category portfolio across product lines: work with the product line management team and the growth platform to define a specific portfolio for the category. Review on a regular basis this portfolio and identify the priority products that we should actively promote
- New product developments: Collaborate with the category team to generate new NPD ideas in line with category needs. Oversee the main product launches for the category, develop business cases, and act as a Project Business Owner for some category specific product launches. Launch new products and develop sales and go-to-market tools for the focus category
- External communications for the category: define and implement the communication tools that are necessary to promote our thought leadership and portfolio in the category. Collaborate with the communication team to plan and execute digital category campaigns. Follow-up and measure the return on investment of these campaigns. Support the organization of tradeshows that are important for the category.
- Identify & size high growth opportunities for the category and help determine target account lists
Qualified candidates will have:
Mandatory requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Food Science/Technology or another related field
- Solid experience in a Marketing Management in a food company – either B2C or B2B
- Proven expertise in Marketing plans design and implementation and product launches
- Strong Marketing Acumen with a desire to further develop the knowledge, understanding and competency in marketing within the organization
- Experience in an international environment
- English fluency, both written and spoken
Desirable requirements:
- Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing (Chartered Institute of Marketing) or equivalent
- Knowledge of Bakery category
- Experience on digital engagement and knowledge of SFDC
