POSITION SUMMARY

The End User Computing Technician role is to provide a critical support function to the operation of the business covering End User Computer Hardware and also the provision of direct technical support to end users. The IT Service Technician is therefore providing a service to staff members and its clients who should be dealt with professionally at all times. This includes receiving, prioritising, documenting, and actively resolving end user help requests.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

To provide onsite I.T support to SGK Germany Goslar and remote I.T support to the EMEA region. Working closely and collaborating with other I.T staff globally located within Matthews End User Computing Team.

• Overseeing I.T Support handling simple issues and requests from end users via the Matthews Cherwell Ticketing System in a timely and courteous manner.
• Mac & PC - diagnose & Repair
• Monitoring and administration of local Servers
• Remote hands for Server Infrastructure and Network Infrastructure Teams
• Mac builds & PC/Laptop builds,
• Software rollout
• Performing backup checks & reporting failures to Regional EUC Manager
• Any other duty as required by the line manager commensurate with the post
• Office moves
• Escalating issues to the relevant bodies.
• Participate in EUC Meetings
• Provide Cover for other EUC Staff – remote & onsite
• Provide remote and onsite Supp

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

• IT technical service experience with Strong Apple Mac and Windows Desktop skills
• Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
• Strong analytical, prioritising, interpersonal, problem-solving & planning skills Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
• Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organisation, as well as, internal and external clients
• Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
• Ability to work overtime as necessary
