Y our tasks and responsibilities
As a LGS Engineer (f/m/f) you will work in support to delivery of an exciting new Remotely-Piloted Air System (RPAS) programme. The post-specific activities include:
Supporting the generation of Weapon System-level, LGS and Landing Gear subsystem technical, performance and Certification requirements.
Supporting the development of LGS Equipment and Assemblies in accordance with ADS and programme-specific processes, procedures and standards related to: Safety, Airworthiness and the Environment.
Supporting senior colleagues in planning LGS Qualification activities; selection of Qualification/test methodologies where appropriate and monitoring Equipment/Assembly-level physical test, modelling & simulation activities.
Supplier management, including oversight of Equipment Supplier performance and technical compliance.
Technical co-ordination with ADS internal and external stakeholders, including prospective suppliers and customers to support bid activities.
Desired skills and qualifications
1.) Completion of a degree-level programme of study in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering;
2.) A basic awareness of Aircraft and Aircraft System Qualification and Certification;
3.) A high degree of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications. Experience in the use of one or more of the following design, or modelling/simulation or requirements capture applications would be advantageous:
- MATLAB;
- Simulink or;
- IBM DOORS.
4.) Sound communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
5.) A willingness to work in an international team.
6.) A Willingness to travel worldwide for business purposes.
7.) Fluency in English.
